The 7th International Week on Building Resilient Societies: The Role of Social Sciences and Humanities in Achieving the SDGs brings together scientists, professors, experts, researchers, professionals, students and youths from various countries, all united by the common goal of exploring the unique contributions of social sciences and humanities toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the world faces unprecedented challenges in the realms of inequality, environmental sustainability, health, and education, this week-long event will spotlight how social science and humanities approaches are essential in creating lasting, meaningful change.
Through panel discussions, interactive sessions, and collaborative workshops, participants will explore topics like: quality education, fighting with poverty, gender equality, reducing inequalities, climate action, peace, justice and strong institutions, partnerships for achieving sustainable development goals. This event emphasizes the power of human-centered and interdisciplinary solutions that address not only the technical aspects of the SDGs but also their social and ethical dimensions.
Attendees will create and experience a renewed understanding of how their fields can foster sustainable development and a deeper sense of their role in driving social transformation.
