Organizational structure 


CHAIR OF GCC
The GCC has a Chair who is nominated by the members of the Council and then appointed by
the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. This is a voluntary position and the Chair is regarded as
primus inter pares (first among equals). The Chair’s primary role is to organize the Center’s
activities, oversee the projects’ advancement, arrange team gatherings, and act as a
representative of the GCC to the Faculty and University officials, as well as to the media and
general public.
Currently, the Chair of the GCC is Prof. Biljana Vankovska


DEPUTY CHAIR OF GCC
The Deputy Chair of the GCC replaces the Chair in case of absence or any other case where s/he
is unable to do her/his duties. S/he is elected by a majority vote by the members of the Council.
Currently, the Deputy Chair of GCC is Prof. Toni Mileski.


COUNCIL
The GCC Board consists of dedicated professors and researchers who are part of the Faculty of
Philosophy in Skopje. They actively contribute to the center’s operations on a voluntary basis.
Furthermore, subject to approval from the Council, the Board may extend invitations to non-
university affiliated researchers to participate in the Council’s activities, although they do not
possess voting rights.
Each member of the Board enjoys equal participation in decision-making and consultations
pertaining to the Center’s initiatives. Moreover, every member possesses the privilege to
propose or initiate projects and actively contribute to their realization. The Board assumes
responsibility for significant decision-making, formulating strategies to propel the Center’s
growth, launching innovative initiatives, and overseeing both completed and ongoing programs
and projects.

INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD
The International Advisory Board comprises up to 30 distinguished researchers and scholars
hailing from various corners of the world. The composition of this board is confirmed by its
existing members, and membership is exclusively by invitation. The GCC is committed to
ensuring equitable representation of diverse regions and global perspectives within the board.
Members of the International Advisory Board will receive regular updates about the GCC’s plans
and ongoing initiatives. Their counsel and suggestions will be of paramount importance to the
mission and growth of the GCC. Furthermore, these esteemed board members may be
occasionally invited to participate as guest lecturers and researchers, either in person or
virtually, depending on circumstances and logistical considerations. They possess the right to
engage in any ongoing GCC activities in alignment with their availability and areas of interest.
