Dr. Elena Rizova

Associate professor

Prof. Dr. Elena Rizova was born in 1982 in Skopje. She graduated (2005) and received her master’s degree (2008) at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. In June 2011 she was employed at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje as a junior assistant at the Institute of Pedagogy. She successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Adult literacy in the Republic of Macedonia – conditions and tendencies” in June 2012 at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, and obtained a scientific degree – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. She was elected as an assistant professor in December 2012, and since September 2017 she has been an associate professor at the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje.

She has received a scholarship from the DVV International Office of Master of Science in Andragogy.

She attended courses, trainings, seminars and made several study visits to universities in Slovenia, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, etc.

Memberships:

– President of the Lifelong learning Centre at the Faculty of philosophy – Skopje;

– President of the Council for Adult Education of the Republic of North Macedonia (2013-2017).

– Head of the Regional Andragogical Academy – a regional project with the participation of six countries from Southeast Europe;Representative of the Organizing Committee of ELN (European Literacy Network) for the Republic of North Macedonia, within the COST network;

– Member of the Editorial Board of the Annual Proceedings published by the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje;

– Member of the editorial board of the magazine Adult education published by the Bosnian Cultural Center (BCC);

– Editor of the International Journal of Education, Research and Training (IJERT) published by the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje;

– National Expert for EYRIDICE appointed by the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility of the Republic of Northern Macedonia;

– National ECVET expert appointed by the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility of the Republic of Macedonia;

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Rizova has fruitful scientific and research experience in the field of educational policy strategic documents, adult education, lifelong learning and vocational education and training. She has national and regional work experience in education policy creation and analysis, education policy evaluation and monitoring, as well as national and regional experience in developing and piloting educational programs for youth and adults.

Languages: Fluent in English, and uses French, Spanish, Serbian and Croatian.

Communication skills: Excellent skills for realization of team and collective work; excellent moderation skills that involve a high level of communication of different types.

Organizational skills: Leadership skills: national coordinator and international project manager and several national projects. Team management skills: Organization and implementation of numerous seminars, workshops and trainings with national and international participants.

Computer skills and competencies: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office ™ tools (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point); advanced knowledge of SPSS statistical software; advanced work with and via the Internet; advanced knowledge of Corel Draw
