Dr. Borče Kostov
Prof. Dr. Borce Kostov was born on October 20, 1973 in Skopje. In the academic year 1995/96 he graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje at the Institute of Pedagogy and received a diploma from the University “St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje for the best student at the Faculty of Philosophy, graduated in that academic year. Since October 1, 1997 he has been working at the Faculty of Pedagogy in Stip as a junior assistant. On November 27, 2002, he defended his master’s thesis at the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, on the topic: “Cooperation of teachers with parents of children with special needs” and obtained the title of Master of Pedagogical Sciences. The teaching-scientific council of the Faculty of Pedagogy “Goce Delchev” from Stip elected him as a teaching assistant on 10.07.2003. On 22.4.2008 at the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: “Theoretical problems in the conception and realization of modern aesthetic education” and earned the title of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. The teaching-scientific council of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University “Goce Delchev” from Stip elected him as an assistant professor on 13.8.2008. From 31.12.2012 he started working at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje at the Institute of Pedagogy. On September 19, 2014, the Teaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of Philosophy elected him associate professor in the scientific fields: theory of education, pedagogy and social pedagogy. On June 5, 2019, the Teaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of Philosophy elected him full professor in the scientific fields: theory of education.
In 2009 he was elected head of the department of pedagogy and psychology at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in Stip, and in the period from 2009-2012 he is the main coordinator in the preparation of the study programs in social pedagogy for the first and second cycle of studies at the same. faculty. Since 2015 he has been the editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal of the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje: International Journal for Education, Research and Training (IJERT). He actively participated in the council of experts for the establishment of the Center for Integrative Bioethics at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, and immediately after its establishment he was elected secretary of this Center.
He speaks English and Italian.
Research interests: theory of upbringing, pedagogy, social aspects of upbringing and upbringing of children with special needs.
