Dr. Katerina Naumova

Full Professor

Prof. Dr. Katerina Naumova was born in 1977 in Skopje. Graduated (2000) and received her master’s degree (2008) at the Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Employed as junior assistant at the Institute of Psychology at the same Faculty in 2002. Defended her doctoral dissertation on “Longitudinal assessment of mental health and quality of life among individuals suffering from long-term posttraumatic stress” and obtained a PhD in Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in June 2013. Elected assistant professor in October 2013 and associate professor in September 2018 at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje.

She has participated in various national and international projects supported by the European Commission, WHO, UNICEF, DAAD, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Culture of RM.

Served as Editor-in-Chief (2018-2019) of the international journal “Psychology: Science and Practice”. In 2020 appointed Head of Doctoral Studies in Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje.

Member of the Macedonian Chamber of Psychologists, European Association of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment, European Health Psychology Society and European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.

Research interests: stress, trauma and coping; health prevention and health promotion; transdiagnostic approaches to mental health problems.
